Members of the Indonesia Photojournalist Organisation (PFI) of Medan City, Indonesian Press Cooperative (KPI) together with the developer PT Netralindo Jaya Mandiri, Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Syariah after the initial loan agreement for a subsidized house at the Bank BTN Syariah office Jalan Diponegoro, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Bank BTN Syariah implemented an initial subsidized home credit agreement for PFI Medan members with reduced costs from zero down payment to instalment payments in the second month.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) initiated the Housing Financing Program Environmentally Friendly (Indonesia Green Affordable Housing Program/IGAHP) which targets low-income communities (MBR) and is scheduled to run from 2024. In line with this, the Indonesian government chose BTN People's Housing Credit (KPR) as a subsidized home ownership credit system from the Indonesian government to meet housing needs.
