Macron couple with Felipe and Letizia from Spain for a tribute to the victims of terrorism
Emmanuel Macron chaired the ceremony of the first National Day of Tribute to the victims of terrorism in France and to the French struck abroad on Wednesday. The King and Queen of Spain Felipe VI and Letizia were present. It was March 11 which was chosen to be the National Day of Homage to the victims of terrorism in France as well as to the French struck abroad. This date is a reference to the European Day for Victims of Terrorism, which already takes place on March 11, and also corresponds to that of the Madrid attacks of 2004, the deadliest in Europe since 1988. It is in the presence of the king and the Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia, whom Emmanuel Macron chaired Wednesday at the Trocadéro, opposite the Eiffel Tower, the first ceremony of this type.
